I was pleasantly suprised recently when I realized that Amazon carries a small selection of foreign language books for kids — and I’m not talking just Spanish: they have Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish and a catch-all “general” categories that includes some Tagalog, Slovak, and Irish to name a few.
In case the link doesn’t work anymore, the books are listed in the category “Children’s Books > Educational > Multilingual”

Language Lizard offers children books in 40 different languages — a record, as far as I know. Not all titles are available in all languages, but it’s a start. They also have some interesting maps and posters. On their site you will find books in [deep breath]: Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, Bulgarian, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Croatian, Czech, English, Farsi, French, German, Greek, Gujarati, Hindi, Hmong, Hungarian, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Kurdish, Lithuanian, Malay, Malayalam, Mandarin, Nepali, Panjabi, Patois, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Scottish Gaelic, Serbo-Croatian, Shona, Slovakian, Somali, Spanish, Swahili, Tagalog, Tamil, Thai, Turkish, Twi, Urdu, Vietnamese, Welsh and Yoruba.

*Hands down* my favorite website on raising multilingual families is the BBFN (Bilingual / Bicultural Family Network). As a matter of fact they have so much great info that I can’t even keep up with it all! I keep telling myself that one day I’ll sit down and read (or at least print) everything on this site. Right. Pigs will fly that day, too.
